These terms apply when you use ChotaBox (the "platform"), operated by ChotaBox ("we", "us"). By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them.

What we do

ChotaBox lets you order food from independent restaurants listed on the platform and have it delivered by delivery partners. Each restaurant prepares its own food and is responsible for its quality, ingredients, hygiene and food-safety licences.

Your account

You must give accurate details and keep your password private. You are responsible for orders placed from your account. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse of staff or partners, or misuse of offers.

Orders and prices

  • Prices are set by restaurants and shown in Indian Rupees, including any applicable taxes shown at checkout.
  • Delivery fees depend on the distance or area you deliver to and are shown before you pay.
  • An order is confirmed only after payment is received. The restaurant may still decline an order, for example if an item is unavailable; you then get a full refund.
  • Coupons are subject to their stated conditions, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn at any time.

Payments

Online payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.

Delivery times are estimates. Please make sure someone is available at the address and phone number you give. See our Delivery policy.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Tell the restaurant about allergies before ordering, and check food on delivery. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will post the new version here. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts in Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction.
